I do still perform often as a solo guitarist/vocalist -
(I am promoting the band so much that I hardly even mention my solo act anymore.
I'm not ever going to stop doing my solo stuff - see calendar link for dates)

Ok, more band stuff -

"What kind of music are you guys playing?" For the answer, click HERE.
Hey, most of you know I have done mostly solo stuff in town for the last 188 years. (Ok, that's a typo I should leave alone - right? Seems like 188 years, but I really meant 18 years...) So - I'm really excited about this new project! We have been having a lot of fun putting it together. Please do come out to show some support!
Check the calendar for upcoming dates - to be updated frequently!
Please check calendar link (above) for current dates and other links (above) for more information.
( Many of the dates below have passed - we just need to clean up the front page here a bit. Most of the same information can be found on other parts of the website. Head back up to the links if you want a more organized navigation. Thanks for your patience. Oh, and quite a lot of you have asked me when I am going to get with the times and get a myspace page. I'm working on that! )
Elizabeth Roth Band played at Scarlett O'Haras Sat Oct 20, 9:00 to close Thanks to everyone who came!
Elizabeth Roth Band played at Pizza Garden (new location, on Anastasia Island, St Aug) Saturday November 17, 6:30-10:00 WOW! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us! I jotted down names this morning and came up with 70+ ! What an awesome turnout! We were all very happy about it and Franny must have been too, so I just wanted to say thank you - THANK YOU!
Also: (Oh, and this is coolest thing of all ... )
Elizabeth Roth Band at YOUR party! Sometimes people still act surprised when I mention that I do private parties. Of course we do private parties! I do them as a solo too.
But I just thought I'd throw this out there. Any of you throwing a big bash? Wouldn't it be fun to have a live band? Wouldn't it be fun to have US???
Well, WE think it would be fun! Call us!
Hey, several people could throw in for it you know. Think it over. Call all your friends. I'm counting on you! (though I'm not talking to anyone in particular - just specifically to YOU! ...) ;)
Fireworks! - To Augustino's Italian Steakhouse - at World Golf Village - Tuesday July 3 - big fireworks show (I usually play there on Wednesdays but we switched it this week. I'll be playing from 7 to 10 p.m. and I believe the fireworks will start around 9:30. Hope to see you there! )
To the City of St Augustine Beach series appearance Weds June 6! This is always a fun time and more of a concert type show than a bar gig - featuring a different act each week - the show is free and there is always a restaurant that is serving dinner to those who wish to purchase food - this week is my turn (with Antonio's Restaurant) I hope to see you there!
To the Palatka Riverfront series this Sat June 9! Awesome place for Palatka people to see a free show, at the amphitheatre right on the river!
to AUGUSTINOS' ITALIAN STEAKHOUSE at WORLD GOLF VILLAGE (Wednesdays - not June 6, sorry)
to TRADEWINDS (every Saturday - daytime)
to THE WINE PAIRING SHOPPE in Palm Coast! (various dates - check calendar)
Thanks to those who came to my SENIOR RECITAL at Stetson University! (Sunday November 26, 2006) Yay! I am a graduate now! A press release on the University website: Stetson website And here is a photo: senior recital
Thanks to those who attended the show at the new Performing Arts Center in St Augustine Beach (concert sponsored by the St Johns Cultural Council, Saturday April 14, 7:00 p.m.) We had some wild weather but it was just natural special effects as far as I am concerned!
(See calendar link for more details; to confirm dates, times, etc.... ) ~ Just posted - a nice photo of Elizabeth with Jim Carrick and Nigel Pickering, at Nigel and Jims' recent CD release party at Tradewinds. Congratulations, you two! To check out the picture, following the "gallery" link. (And scroll down past a few press shots.)

What has the press been saying? ABOUT THE ALBUM: "An incredible work of artistic accomplishment...the Cd shows all the ranges, styles, and in a word, versatility of this seasoned entertainer, and gives an insight into the depth of the person creating the sounds." Carol Elliott, Entertaining U Magazine, Jacksonville, Florida "I was immeasurably impressed by this album. From the production, to Roth's Guitar and voice, to the instrumental arrangements, to the songwriting; it is wonderfully done." Rick de Yampert Daytona Beach News-Journal " Finally, area singer/songwriter Elizabeth Roth has released an eclectic collection of songs called like the david. Roth sings like a darker Carly Simon....like the david contains passing moments of beauty and lasting moments of Gothic (like an empty Georgian house, not like a pasty faced rocker) atmosphere. Interesting stuff..." Rick Marino, entertainment writer, Florida Times Union "Interesting, unconventional, carefully crafted acoustic rock" David Demordaunt, Temujin Recordings, San Francisco " 'like the david' is a work of great scope, moving effortlessly from style to style - elements of folk, jazz, rock, funk, classical, & more ... From the opening somber strains of "The Fire" and the mournful "Plato's Regret" to up-beat numbers like "My Baby Keeps His Cool" and "Get It Right", both of which feature a rockin' horn section, Elizabeth displays a mature, urbane, & elegant approach to composition that features touching melodies, surprising modulations, and wonderful lyrics that will, over the course of this CD, pull on every emotion. David McLean, Tinfoil music "Roth 's songs range from jazzy lightly funky works akin to Norah Jones and Ricky Lee Jones, to ballads and folkie songs like Tracy Chapman and Phoebe Snow..." Rick de Yampert Daytona Beach News-Journal ABOUT ELIZABETH: "An awe-inspiring acoustic player with a powerfully clear voice” Michael Melchar, Backstage Pass Magazine "Her voice is one you remember......it soars, spirals, rocks, drops, calls to a lover, tells a story, growls the blues, cries. If Gamble Rogers and Phoebe Snow had a love child, and that baby was raised by Tracy Chapman, it might sound like this woman." Peter Guinta, staff writer, Saint Augustine Record "She has a unique ability to tell a story, as if it were the first time ever told, with every song she sings." Carol Elliott, Entertaining U Magazine, Jacksonville, Florida "hauntingly cerebral, yet romantic clarity" Marcia Armes, Saint Augustine Magazine
