#7: Album, benefit concert set for injured musician
I guess I'll need to link to this here, although it isn't a review of my act or music.
This is an article that ran on the front page of the St. Augustine Record on March 18, 2006 - detailing a very special event and some of the participants. Despite my protestations that I didn't need "help" or any fuss made, many members of the musical community of St. Augustine held a concert in my honor and donated tracks to a double CD, to be sold the day of the show. Proceeds of the sale of the CD were presented to me so that I might replace my sound system, which was destroyed in a serious car accident that nearly took my life on December 6, 2006.
Words cannot begin to describe how this made me feel!
I'll post the article here, if for no other reason than to show what an amazing group of musical artists reside in St Augustine! And wonderful listeners who come out to support the scene! (Thank you!)

Stetson guitar group offers taste of Brazil

This is an article is about the Stetson University Guitar Ensemble, Spring Concert: Tuesday, April 19, 2005. (Thanks to my friends at the Daytona News-Journal for running my photo, mentioning my solo work and making me feel special - again!) Website readers, please note this is not one of my solo "shows", it is a classical guitar ensemble performance. There are 11 other students in this group. Most of them are guitar performance majors. Stetson has a fine music school and I am proud to be associated with this group and with the guitar department at Stetson. Please do attend! If you like classical guitar, you will enjoy this show. And the Scott Joplin finale should be a kick, too. (See article for more details, where, what time, etc.)
